Please find answers to the most frequently asked emergency questions below:

Case 1: I am sick, and I cannot attend my exam

Have you booked the Exam Retake Option (check your invoice to find out)?

  • YES: Get a medical confirmation and send it to our Customer Service within 5 days after the exam: info@swiss-exams.ch. You will be issued a retake code that you can use for a new exam registration for free.
  • NO: Your exam is not insured and if you don´t come to your exam, you will have to book a new exam date at your own cost.

Goethe exams

If you provide us with a medical confirmation, you will be able to book a new exam date for an admin fee. Please contact our Customer Service on the next weekday for more information.

IELTS exams

If you provide us with a medical confirmation, you will be able to book a new exam date for an admin fee. Please contact our Customer Service on the next weekday for more information.

Case 2: I didn´t receive my Entry Statement

Go to your Swiss Exams Access to download a copy of your Entry Statement. If there is no Entry Statement available in the Swiss Exams Access and there is no time entered for your exam, you are not registered for this exam. Contact Customer Service on the next weekday.

Case 3: I didn´t pay my invoice, can I still sit my exam tomorrow?

If your exam is tomorrow and you didn´t pay your invoice, your registration was cancelled, and you can´t sit this exam. Register on our website for a new exam date.

Case 4: I don´t have a printer and can´t print out my Entry Statement.

You may still attend the exam. Come to the exam as scheduled on your Entry Statement.

Case 5: What if my ID is expired or has been stolen?

All candidates must present a valid, unexpired, original identity document on each exam day. Photocopies or digital versions (e.g., on your phone) will not be accepted.

If your ID is expired or has been stolen, please check if you have an alternative valid ID that you can present at your exam.

Important: for IELTS and Linguaskill exams, you must present the same ID that you used at your registrations. If you don´t present the same ID, you will not be allowed to sit the exam.
